How it works
Formulas
Volume (ft³) = area (sq ft) × depth (in) ÷ 12Bags = volume ÷ bag size (ft³), rounded upWorked example
Input: 200 sq ft of beds, 3 in deep, 2 cu ft bags.
- 200 × 3 ÷ 12 = 50 ft³ = 1.85 yd³.
- 50 ÷ 2 = 25 bags.
Result: 25 bags, or about 1.85 cubic yards in bulk.
How to use
- 1Enter the total bed area (length × width of each bed, added up).
- 2Enter the depth, usually 2–3 inches.
- 3Pick the bag size to see how many bags, or use cubic yards for bulk delivery.
